Christmas partnership with Beyond Food
Across the festive period, Searcys is proud to announce that it is joining forces with London charity Beyond Food, for the second year. The Beyond Food charity aims to inspire people who are at risk of, or have experienced homelessness, to gain meaningful employment. Rough sleeping in London has more than doubled in the past six years, with over a thousand people sleeping on the streets of the capital every night.
The company-wide campaign, which launches in November, aims to raise awareness and funds across Searcys venues to help support Beyond Food projects to fight homelessness. Throughout the festive period, Searcys at The Gherkin will invite bar, restaurant and event guests to donate £1 per bill. The same scheme will also be extended to other Searcys venues in November and December. Last year the campaign raised over £10,000 for Beyond Food, which helped to support the charity’s continuous efforts to provide skills development, training and career support to disadvantaged, vulnerable and often homeless Londoners.
Anna Fenton, Head of Communications, Brand and Marketing at Searcys, says, “we are hugely proud to get behind this initiative with Beyond Food, a charity that is really close to our hearts. The holiday season is a crucial time for the hospitality industry to celebrate joy and happiness, but also an important time for charitable giving which will support the future generation of chefs.”
