William Curley Chocolate Masterclass

We are delighted to announce that we have joined forces with the country’s foremost patissier and chocolatier, William Curley, to create chocotastic experiences available exclusively at the Gherkin.

On Friday 12th April will see The Gherkin and William collaborate to offer two chocolate tastings and a short masterclass, designed to give insight into the world of chocolate as well as an understanding of the skills and evolution behind William Curley’s favourite chocolate confections. There is more, throughout April, HELIX restaurant will be serving an entire tasting menu that tales you into the realm of chocolate and savoury dishes, the skill and combination on this is mind blowing.

William Curley aims to source only the world’s finest ingredients, refusing to compromise on the quality or nature of his work, using only the freshest, most natural produce.

Family orientated masterclass from 10 am to 11 am. 
Adults : £25. Children : £12.50 

2pm to 3pm: Advanced master class
Adults: £35 including a chocolate cocktail on arrival

His career began with an apprenticeship at Gleneagles Hotel, and lead him to train with some of the country’s finest chefs; including Pierre Koffmann, Marco Pierre White and Raymond Blanc. His ambitions then took him to The Savoy Hotel, where he became the youngest Chef Patissier in its history. William opened his business over thirteen years ago, and has achieved numerous accolades including four times winner of ‘Britain’s Best Chocolatier by The Academy of Chocolate’ and a gold medal at ‘The Culinary Olympics’. In 2012, he became a member of Relais Dessert International the most prestigious association for Patissier – Chocolatiers. William achieved the Master of Culinary Arts by the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts. It is the highest accolade awarded to chefs in the UK.
